DECISIONS

Just suppose i was a lucky chap and had £25k to spend on a bike, i could buy a MV Agusta F4RR and an older Brutale for lazy days, i could buy the best DBD34 Gold Star and a nice Super Rocket, i could import a Harley Knucklehead and have an everyday Sportster.................or i could buy this.
Not a phrase i use but i think this is a "no brainer".

BIG SISSY

Chopper updates. Rear guard is an original ribbed Thunderbird front cut down to fit, sissy bar is made up from a couple i have had a while..

Motor has 750 Morgo top end and now just waiting on some new alloy pushrod tubes.

Tank is from Lowbrow, i was always going to use an Alien but when i saw these i had to have one. It's based on a Sportster narrowed and Friso'd, looks perfect. Good service from them as always, not so good service from UK Customs.

I went with the original oil tank in the end as i couldn't find anything that looked better. The boys at Rock Solid Motorcycles made me a stainless neck and bronze cap which Will welded on, top job. If you want some quality parts give them a shout, they didn't win at Faro this year by accident.

More when it happens......

DAVEY'S TRIUMPHS

Davey has been building Triumph chops up in the North East for over 30 years, this is his first in 1982.

...and his latest, all home built. Note the chopped cases. The head is just a bit special too. More photos as it comes together.

You might just find him here too.

FILM REVIEW

6 over. About six months after everyone else, yes but so ?
I had reservations, i watched most of the Choppertown/Sinners movies and they were entertaining but sometimes not entirely convincing. Some folk had told me it was really good, but....
I bought a copy at the Hayride then forgot all about it 'till last night. Its bloody great, there's no story, no pretend bike build, no plot, no cuddling... no buts, get someone who loves you to buy a copy here (i had to buy my own)

THE AMUSIACS

Tim (guitar and vocals) Scarlett (drums) and Co, available now for bring and buy sales and graveyard riots. My dad would have called this a "bloody noise" which is all the endorsment a boy needs. Excellent.

THE CAMERA NEVER LIES ?

It all seems like a long time ago since Guy and i took this barely running bike to Dalby Forest for the GKM photo shoot with Gareth Buddo. It's currently in many pieces scattered across town and i am still waiting on a new fuel tank from the USA, but haven't given up hope on having it running again by the end of the year.
Hard to believe that something that had so many issues could look so good.

BANG UNTIDY

Banger racing at Belle Vue last night. Junior rough girls in Micras, unbalanced men cruising inside-out Mondeos and a ground shaking display of F1 Stockcars by the Wainman boys. A great evening, a potential Olympic sport ? Duz tha want it ?

* The Almera  (who knew) two from bottom went out and raced again after this bit of hiab and sledgie massage.

THE CUSTOM FAMILY

Buy Guy's truck

Head off to Scotland and buy my old Betty

Then down to Somerset for Chris' beautiful Sportster

Seriously, why spend years and tens of thousands trying to built something. These three may look expensive at first but believe me they aren't and you get to keep your sanity.
