WANNA BE IN MY GANG ?

Photo from Bike magazine in 1974. The chop belonged to Tony Thacker who rode it on stage for GG at every night of his tour and on TOTP in 1973 (he was good old Gary Glitter then and would not be tabloid favourite Paul Francis Gadd, 66, until the internet was invented 25 yrs later). He wasnt allowed to have any petrol in the tank as it was deemed a fire hazard, so had to have a little tin can full of cotton wool soaked in fuel attatched to the carb, just enough to start and ride in on. The frame cracked in half mid tour, the engine had have a new crank and Thacker was nearly always pissed on hospitality booze when his moment came but somehow managed to make it through. Gaz never rode it.
