SALINE WARRIOR

Andy Saunders originally built Saline Warrior from a Reliant Rialto in just two days for the Panic Mechanic BBC2 show in 2002. He drove it at Santa Pod to win the competition and later sold it to a mad French collector of micro cars who said he was going to race it at Bonneville.

Fast forward to 2009 and the little missile now powered by a GSXR750 engine finally made it to the salt flats and ran 124mph, just 7mph short of the Tricycle record. Rebuild and modifications are planned for a return..

Just how smart is that VW van ?
