Alfredo my first contributor from Ecuador sent photos of his Guzzi and Alfa. Turns out it's an ex Angellini Racing GTA (alloy bodied) one of only 500 ever built and using an even rarer GTAM motor.
I once picked up a late '60s GTA from Scarborough, possibly the most derelict car i have ever bought, took about 2 hours to get it on the trailer while most of the body was still lying on the driveway. Sold the Webers, wheels and axle (LSD), the rest got junked. This was the 1990s, before anything 10yrs old was a Classic. Mk1 and 2 Escort bodyshells mostly went for scrap as well as i had no room to keep them, now they're on ebay for £3,000 +...
Escort BDA 5 grand from Mike Youngs garage in Essex early eighties christ knows what one would fetch now.
ReplyDeleteMike Youngs, theres a name from the past, sold him an RS2000 once. A good RS1800 is about £20k now i recon.
