Haven't had a modern big bike since i sold the Tuono back end of last year and was going to just stick with my Triumphs but i gave in and bought this 1300SP. Just jumped forward 50 years in a couple of days and it is noticeable... heated grips, a rack, mirrors, silencers, indicators even lights, what will they think of next ?
I have spent the last 2 months finding, altering and working on a bike to hopefully get me to mid France next week, this thing was half the price and would probably take me round the world.
Ah yes, now it all comes flooding back, as I said, hope you can continue on, a rocking good blog. The new 'tool' is excellent mate, you won't know yourself, enjoy the luxury of it all.
ReplyDeleteI used to have an XJR1200, very first 1995 model. Excellent bike only sold it for my first (and only) new bike, a Bandit 1200, which was lighter and a whole lot faster!
ReplyDeleteBought an accident damaged 1300SP in 2002, took a load of weight off and fitted KNs, full Akra' system and Dyna kit, went really well but i recon this one can stay as it is.
ReplyDeleteNo idea what that is (although I spotted Yamaha on the tank) but if I had to have a reliable everyday bike I quite like the look of it.
