CAR

Been searching for a car project for a while now, 50s/60s, preferably Ford, definitely European, hopefully non standard, certainly in the UK, absolutely not a wreck. Pop, Anglia, Cortina..... ?
I have a couple of things on the go at the moment but if you know of anything please let me know tri650@live.co.uk

YORKSHIRE BIG BREAKFAST

Classic supercars, rain and an unsuitably derssed bloke on a chopper at Speciaist Cars Big Breakfast last Sunday. Photos by Kurt Blythman, my hands were too cold.

The week before, Spesh Cars John and Tania were in Vegas Crying in the Chapel. Did you know there is no Elvis song with the words marry or wedding in the title ?
Hound Dog, Runaway, On Top of Old Smoky ?

THEY SHOOT HORSES

Last week i bought a van from a guy in Wakefield and made the mistake of looking at his '67 Mustang. So now do i want one ? , only one i could find in budget was this brokeback fastback, £1200 buy it now on Ebay, looked again today and its gone. How drunk do you have to be to think this is a good idea ?

BRASS AND THE BARGAIN BUCKET

Now in stock, 1.75" brass exhaust rings for Triumphs (push over stub type). £40 pair post free, add £5 for outside UK.

BMW 316i Touring. 20 years old but solid as a rock, nothing ever goes wrong because there is nothing to go wrong. No ABS, traction control, central locking, computers or any of that garbage. 5 speed manual, 30mpg. Tested until next July and a month of tax. Ultra reliable, doesnt use or loose any fluids. This little car and i have bonded over the last 9 months but its time for us to part. I would happily set off anywhere in it tomorrow. You give me 800 smackers and drive off with a smiley face.

George Laycock Engineering. George, helped by Tom and Lorraine, meticulously rebuilds restores and maintains vintage (and older) racing cars and bikes in a workshop nearly as cold as mine. He also does all my little engineering jobs but im not telling you where he is or how to get hold of him as he is far too busy already.

RAC RALLY

Massive respect to everyone involved with making this rally run over the last 3 days and nights in pretty excepional conditions, to the 43 crews that made it to the finish (and the ones who didnt) and to the people who took these photos.

Former works Ford driver Phil Collins was 5th and first non Escort.

Bob Bean was competing on the first rally i ever went to watch as a lad is and still competitive and enthusiastic as ever.

Believe it or not this is Olivers Mount.

One of several Porsches from Belgium

Winner Stefan Stouff.

Local man Warren Philliskirk finished 15th.

Steve Perez finally finished the event in his wonderful Stratos.
