KATOOMBA ROCKABILLY AND HOT ROD FESTIVAL

 

Our annual photos of Katoomba Hot Rod show from Dave Blamey. The event is held in the Blue Mountains in Australia an area hit badly by forest fires in the last year. Again it was a big success pumping much needed funds back into the towns economy.

2014. WHERE YOU GOING TO PARTY ?

 

Add to this lot, the proposed Yorkshire Spiders Revival party (TBC). Farmyard Party 21st-23rd June (same weekend as everything else), Linkert Attacks France (July), Dirtquake 3 (19th July, Kings Lynn), Harrogate Hotrod n Kustom (was September last year, not heard confirmed dates yet), Whitby Kustom (date to follow but late Oct as usual).

So, where are we going ?

Not the organisers choice but definitely mine. Spoke the the owner/builder (from Middlesborough, sorry i forgot your name) for a short while but had to dash as the rain was approaching fast, top bloke, top car. I still got wet.

Imagine a custom show at the North Yorkshire seaside on a bleak November day,  completely free and populated by thousands of promenading Goths. It was bloody great.

There were only two m'cycles, Peter Pan and me but we were popular !

DARKNESS ON THE EDGE OF TOWN

 

 

Whitby next weekend, Gothing Thursday to Sunday, Roding on Saturday. Paul tells me bikes are welcome at the Custom show, i'll be there if you fancy a meet up, dress suitably though !

DONCASTER HOTROD SHOW

 

Yesterday while i was at Newark Autojumble trying, and mostly failing, to find you all quality vintage custom parts Phil was at Doncaster Hot Rod show and sent these photos. The Shovel belongs to his mate Tosh and was self built with help from Stez and Rick at Polar Cycles.
