Deep sorrow here too. That's real bad! Once imported a KTM barrel from Canada and you know what....think it went through the same mincing machine......wondering just how many tonne pressure needs to be applied to cause that much damage?
After the underachievements of Yodel/DHL/City Link/Monkeypost etc i went back to Parcelforce because although their billing department is manned by twerps and humourless bitches they are the most reliable firm iv'e used, however, they do seem to have got a little clumsy. The first parcel i sent with them was a gearbox and it arrived with the top lug broken, a month later a tank turns up dented and now this which must actually have been run over by the van. You're probably saying pack things better to make it impossible for them to damage but carriers now have strict size limits also so if you make a parcel too big it costs more, the customer complains.............
Aint just PF I shipped a GS1000 engine on a pallett from west mids to the NE . The fuckers dropped it off of a curtainside trailer which meant it somersaulted landed upside down which scrapped the cam cover and cylinder head . So instead of telling me they taped a bin liner over the damage and let the customer inform me . So much for private carriers This is just one instance , they're all the same :-
