Bugger the other gig in London, the monster steam thing in the top shot is bloody gargantuan, what was it built to do Pete? Like the top of tank shot on what seems to be a Brough of the Superior type too.

The real big Showmans engines were used for hauling all the gear for travelling fairs and circuses.
The tank top shot was an AJS i think.

A few of the steam fairs in this part of the world (Hereford)had to be cancelled this year due to piss poor weather. Always nice to see the old engines about.

Glad you had a great day, the steam "circus" pulls into our town (Lincoln) in two weeks time. I LOVE IT !! A very mis-understood, not to be missed day out !! It smells great, tastes great....& even just by walking around for the day you come home with a mucky face & black bogeys !!
