A MAN CALLED HORSE

My nephew James in conjunction with our Jo and sis Helen has developed a phone app' for Cross Country and Eventing types. It is completely beyond me how such a thing is even possible never mind actually doing it. Are all techno types leaning towards insanity ? top photo James..

Sales are going well even though it has only been available for under a week. If you do horse and have an i phone (like you dont !) get it here and read what people say about it on the bible of face

THE POWER OF ADVERTISING

It's taken 17 years and the Gears of War 3 advert to get people listening to Mazzy Star. Worth the wait. I doubt if it will get me gaming though, Bejewelled is about my limit.

GREG HANCOCK

Californian Greg "Herbie" Hancock became 2011 Speedway World Champion last night in Slovenia at the age of 41. Probably the most popular guy in the paddock and the only person to have competed in every Speedway GP since their inception. A top bloke.

TRIUMPH DRAG BIKES

I have so many saved photos of old Triumph drag bikes my computer is hanging down at one side so i am having a clean up. Here are the first few..

RALLY YORKSHIRE

Billy and i went watching Rally Yorkshire today, the final round of the British Rally Championship, it was dire. 14 1600cc cars don't make for a thrilling day in the forests, thankfully it is also a round of the Historic Championship as well so rear wheel drive Escorts saved the day (and were faster !).
Shame it wasn't like this...

BACK OFF

Had a rubbish back for the last week so bending over Triumphs hasn't been favourite and progress has been slow. The Drag bike is ready to go and the chop is about there, rebored and new pistons, on the road next week..but for how long ?

RIDING 'RENTS

NEVER MIND

Released 20 years ago tomorrow. Memories of Kurt Cobain will never be tinged by a balding grey bloke doing reunion concerts into middle age and he can never become a nobber like Bono (or Johnathan Ross). This is how he will always be, Territorially Pissing on the Woss on Channel 4...

THE LAST TIME

If it doesnt sell this time i will be selling the following parts. Fuel tank, headlight + brackets, mudguards + brackets, oil tank and tool box, clipons, exhaust, chronometric clocks + brackets, TLS front brake and possibly the wheels.

SPORTSTER CHOP

You really need to see Jon's bike to appreciate the quality.
Own it here

WHEEL I/D ?

Can anyone help with identifying these wheels ? Top one is on a WM3 18" rim which i would say is original, it has a peg to locate the brake plate like a Norton. Possibly Matchless, Velo ?

This front is missing its brake plate, it is a WM2 19" rim again probably the original, the 7" drum is finned like a Norton rear.

Any help would be appreciated.

BONNEVILLAGE

Bought a 650 cylinder head on ebay and as it was local i went to collect it, the seller said "i have some other Triumph stuff if you are interested"....

Add to this other rooms containing a Triton, TR6, A10 plunger, BMW R75, Watsonian sidecar, a couple of '70s 305 Yamahas, Wideline frame and about 40 wheels..

BEANO's GSXR 7/11

Built just before the turn of the century, i know what you are thinking, he just tarts about on it and goes to shows. Very wrong, this is his main transport for much of the year and has done nearly 30,000 miles since it hit the road running. Not for everyone but top quality workmanship and a proper useable custom.
