Called at Neil's last week and took a couple of pics of his Norton Ironhead Cafe racer (is it me or is "Norley" just wrong ?). The real mccoy, built many years ago, it is a wideline with 1000cc Ironhead Sportster motor on a big Dellorto, gearbox is chopped and in its place it uses a Commando box and chaincases. Other trick period stuff include the twin BSA front brakes back to back. He is planning a very noisy trip to the MGP on it next year.
He's also just picked up this old Matchless 500, sat unused since it was a £10 field bike back in the 60s. Gave it a wipe, put new fuel in and cleaned the points....you know the rest. Hopefully its going back on the road just as it is, pukka.
